The perfect class for toddlers and other youngsters not yet ready to leave mom and dad, and for parents who want the ease of accompanying their child through what may be their first experience in a group setting. Gross motor skills and an introduction to rhythm through games and interactive play take centre stage in this class. This class if for ages 2 and up.
A very special class designed to introduce the youngest dancers to a formal dance class setting, with emphasis put on rhythm, movement and musicality. Students are introduced to the basic steps that make up the foundation of almost all technical dance forms.
Classical ballet offered from the ages of 4 until adult will incorporate technique from the various schools of ballet dance including Russian Vagonova, Italian Cecchetti and Royal Academy of Dance syllabuses. Great emphasis is placed upon proper technique, posture, body alignment, grace and flexibility. Advanced students over the age of 12 also have the opportunity to begin pointe work, at the discretion of their instructor.
Jazz is a high-energy, technically-based style that provides a more high-impact dance experience as an alternative to ballet. Music is fast and upbeat, with combinations and choreographies that include kicks, turns and jumps in addition to funky movements. Jazz styles vary greatly and can range from Broadway Jazz to Simonson Technique to Jazz-Funk.
The classic, always in style form of dance that teaches rhythm, precision and musicality while incorporating the entire body for a high energy dance experience. Both traditional and urban tap styles are blended, putting a modern spin on a classical dance form.
Lyrical dance has it’s base in ballet technique, but is more fluid and expressive than ballet. Combinations and choreographies are done to emotionally charged music, and the emotive quality of a dancer is quickly developed through this style. Because of it’s technical base, it is recommended that those trying a lyrical class have some backround in ballet or another technical style of dance.
This class is the perfect complement to a jazz, lyrical or ballet class, where jumps, turns and tricks are front and center. The class begins with a warm up, followed by across the floor exercises and center work. Students in this class will have a chance to perfect technical elements they already know and learn many new ones as well. This class does not perform in the year-end show.
Get ready for some sexy, high-energy dancing in this urban jazz class that teaches basic technique (turns and kicks) along with the sassy moves seen in today’s music videos. The class consists of a warm-up and technical work performed in bare feet, after which we lace up our high heels and go all out for some fun choreography.

Three year olds are introduced to a dance class setting for the first time, with emphasis placed upon having fun, being active and learning rhythm. Musical games and creative movement is explored in addition to the teaching of a basic hip-hop choreography.

At Elite Dance Academy, Hip-Hop dance incorporates many styles including Old School, New School, Whacking and Popping and Locking, in addition to basic Hip-Hop. Classes are taught to high-impact urban (clean) music and provide an intense cardiovascular workout. Choreographies become more intricate as the dancer becomes older and/or more experienced.
This class teaches a cutting-edge form of Hip-Hop becoming popularized around the world. Hip-Hop Fusion is a blend of New School Hip-Hop and Contemporary Dance, with choreographies centered more on emotion than on energy, and are usually danced to more lyrically expressive urban music than classical Hip-Hop.
This high energy hip-hop class follows the structure of a regular hip-hop class but features an open level that allows for a pressure-free atmosphere. Choreographies will be appropriate for a variety of ability levels, making the class perfect for all levels of adult dancers, whether it’s your first time in a dance class or you’re a retired dancer looking for a fun way to get back into dancing.
While all our classes are open to both boys and girls, this is a special class designed for boys who want to learn how to hip-hop dance in a very masculine style. This class is taught by a male instructor and is perfect for those who may think that dance is only for girls!
