About Us

Simply put, Elite Dance Academy was borne out of the mutual dream of two close friends who, having been involved in the dance industry for over twenty years, had the desire to open a dance school offering quality dance education to individuals of all ages in order to share their love and passion for dance with others.

With a shared vision of what an ideal dance school should be to both students and parents, both children and adults and both staff and administrators, Shannon and Melissa strive to offer a very different dance experience than other studios. With complementary skill sets, the two provide an ideal balance between creative direction and competent administrative operations.

For the recreational student, emphasis is placed upon building self-confidence, positive body image and a healthy lifestyle in an atmosphere where fun and enjoyment prevails over all else.

For the competitive or professionally-minded student, emphasis is placed upon technical excellence, pride in oneself and the constant development of a well-rounded dancer. A goal-oriented, challenging environment is provided.

For parents, Elite Dance Academy is the studio of choice when considering both the overall atmosphere of a studio as well as financial issues. Classes taught by a friendly, professional staff are offered at fair prices, with any additional costs detailed upon registration. The Directors will always take the time to listen to your questions or concerns, and excellent customer service will always be one of our top priorities.

At Elite Dance Academy, we also believe that diversity of training is important. We encourage students to try the multiple styles of dance that are offered under our roof, and we will periodically bring in special guest teachers to expose our students to different learning experiences.

No matter what the goals of our clients may be, we will always provide a fun and safe place to express an interest, love or passion for dance. Every student of every age will develop proper technique, a confident stage presence and an overall positive self-image that dancing seems to inherently bring.
